Objective of the measure

To respond to the difficulties and problems of social hardship for adolescents, young people and their families.

 

Eligibility

Families with adolescents or young adults, between 13 and 25 years old, residing in the Lombardy Region, and who find themselves in difficult conditions, such as:

• PSYCHOLOGICAL AND/OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISTRESS (problematic family relationships, stressful life events, eating disorders, deviance, involvement in risk groups);
• SOCIAL ISOLATION (poor ability to adapt, presence of psychological and behavioural problems, social withdrawal, victims of bullying or cyber-bullying);
• SCHOOL ABANDONMENT (school or training drop-outs);
• ADDICTION OR ABUSE (alcohol, drugs, gambling);
• ANTISOCIAL, DELINQUENTIAL, DESTRUCTIVE OR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR (getting into fights, illegal possession of drugs).

 

Type and characteristics of the assistance

Following multidisciplinary assessment, a voucher is issued aimed at contributing to support pathways such as:

• Individual educational or psychological interventions;
• Support interventions for family members through educational and/or psychological support;
• Support for the adolescent/young person in accessing the network of services for the activation of training and/or work support pathways;
• Psycho, socio or educational support interventions in case of vulnerability factors or obvious problems relating to the use or abuse of substances.

 

 

How to use the assistance

To access the measure, contact one of the following bodies:

• Neuropsychiatry Service of the Territorial Social and Health Authorities (ASST);
• Social Services of the municipality of residence;
• Cooperatives, associations, voluntary bodies or charities registered in regional or national registers or similar regional or national lists;
• Public or accredited private consultants;
• Religious bodies with which the state has stipulated pacts, agreements or understandings, e.g. parishes, parish associations.

The chosen body will forward to the “Health Protection Agency” ATS Brescia applications filled out by the young person or adolescent and his family, with the Individual Plan attached.

The contribution will be provided only after validation by the Lombardy Region.
